Take Back Your Health NOW! with Dr Dan Margolin

Why are we less healthy today? According to a 2015 Gallup poll, 53 percent of Americans work out at least a half an hour a day, which is the highest it’s ever been. The fitness industry is a leading industry amounting to $81.2 billion annually. Almost 45 percent of Americans claim they have gone organic, with that number as high as 53 percent in ages 18-29. Although Americans are trying very hard to be better and more healthy versions of themselves, why is our health worsening and healthcare costs skyrocketing? There has to be some sort of greater answer to this question. Modern medicine has eradicated diseases like tuberculosis and polio, but even with better cures, other disease states are becoming more prevalent. The Take Back Your Health NOW! Show seeks to find the answers to health's biggest questions and find the Holy Grail of health.

Jay W. Nielsen, M.D. has thirty-eight years experience as a family physician with special emphasis on Pain Management, Patient Education, Research, Urgent Care and Emergencies in medicine.

Dr. Nielsen’s interest in Pain Management started in 1981 when he found himself the only physician in Erie County who would see Workmen’s Compensation spine injuries.

In 1993, he moved to Bluffton, Ohio and started training in Alternative Medicine with Dr. Terry Chappell and began his work in Prolotherapy and Chelation.

In 1994, with Dr. Chappell’s assistance as President of the American College for Advancement of Medicine, Dr. Nielsen started the first Contract Research Organization specializing in Complementary Medicine, herbals, supplements, product validation and Medical Outcomes trials for Chelation.

In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Nielsen initiated North Coast Clinical Research, one of the nation’s largest research centers specializing in Clinical Trials in Family Practice. He participated in 34 nationwide trials for the development of new drugs.

Dr. Nielsen was the host of his own radio talk show for thirteen years. This two-hour talk show was designed originally to overcome the blood shortage caused by the early Aid’s epidemic. After the tenth anniversary of the show, the American Red Cross awarded the “Good Neighbor Award” for his work.

In 2010, Dr. Nielsen was trained by I.L.A.D.S. as a Lyme Literate Physician by Joseph Jemsek MD in Washington D.C.
